In the beautiful state of South Carolina, we rise and shine! From the upstate to the coast, our school nutrition professionals go above and beyond every day to ensure that the children in our schools receive delicious and nutritious meals. As we are all slowly returning to normal, or at least the “new” normal, we cannot overlook your dedication and commitment to the ever-changing school nutrition profession.
This year marks our 70th year of existence as an organization. We are thrilled to see how far we have grown. We strive to continue our growth and success by engaging with our members as often as possible. Our success cannot be without you! We are excited to be able to continue to offer some of our professional development opportunities, as well as introduce our new LEAD mentorship program.
The motto for my presidency will simply be, “How Can I Help?” We have some new faces on the board this year, so I want to make sure that everyone has the resources they need to be successful in their role. I want each of us to think about how can I help this organization? How can I help my fellow board members? How can I help others in school nutrition succeed? How can I help? It’s as simple as that, it takes you and me to help each other.
